Ashleigh Ball is an Olympic bronze medallist[1] and a member of both the Women's Great Britain and England hockey teams.[2]
Ball is a prominent player of the Great Britain team, and this year earned herself an Olympic bronze medal at the London 2012 Games. The 26-year-old made a crucial breakthrough scoring two minutes before half-time in the 3–0 victory over Belgium during the qualifying stages of the games.
In 2010, Ball was part of the women's England hockey team that made a significant breakthrough by winning the World Cup, Commonwealth Games and Champions Trophy bronze medals.
Born in Brighton, Ball went to school in Cheltenham then later attended Leeds University where she studied medical science and nutrition.
